"He seemed to truly care about my rehabilitation"

After exhausting many other routes of treatment my family and I found Luke at Lisa Inside Addiction at the perfect time. At this point I found myself completely lost and overwhelmed with life and was finding it difficult to engage with treatment. Off the bat Luke was someone that I found to be very personable and also trustworthy, and he seemed to truly care about my rehabilitation. Due to this I was able to engage fully with his teachings and I saw rapid success. Luke's knowledge of addiction and therefore my exact thoughts during the process was very helpful as he was always two steps ahead and had great insights and advice.

"This was the first time I actually felt like the therapist was engaged in my own personal feelings"

I came to Luke and Lisa Inside Addiction, after trying other therapies (1:1 and group). This was the first time I actually felt like the therapist was engaged in my own personal feelings and experiences while offering pragmatic ways of dealing with addition and the factors behind it. I write this review, just under 7 months clean and feel stronger and with the most will power I have ever experienced. I truly believe that Luke has done something different which has actually worked. He is a really nice, calm and personable guy. There is no awkwardness. I cannot recommend him enough.

"His own journey and story is an example of life and proof that there is light at the end of the tunnel. "

The support I have received from Luke over the last 12 weeks have profoundly have a positive effect on myself and my loved ones around me. He has provided me with clear tools to deal with stress and anxiety. Luke as provided me with a rich curriculum and materials that I can keep for life and I can refer to them at any time, combining a wide variety of approaches for me to chose which ones are more suitable for my own personality and needs. His professionalism is outstanding and his own journey and story is an example of life and proof that there is light at the end of the tunnel. His story and what he has achieved at such a young age will certainly inspire you in your own journey for recovery.

Hey, I’m Luke Worsfold, the founder of Lisa Inside Addiction.

As a counsellor with 6 years of sobriety, my goal is to help you take control of your drinking.

How It Started

How It Is Going

I grew up with a mother who struggled with alcohol and passed away when I was just 10 years old. Unfortunately, I followed in her footsteps, drinking and taking drugs until I lost my partner, family connections and business.

I relentlessly searched for answers through google, books, AA Meetings and rehab but nothing seemed to be working… then I discovered…. ADDICTION THERAPY.

Thanks to the power of therapy, I was able to understand why I drank, earn back my loved one’s trust and break free my self-destructive cycle of drinking and using drugs.

Now I’ve made it my mission to help others take control of their drinking/drug use and reduce their consumption.

I can confidently tell you, you are in the right place! So book a call and let’s walk this journey together.

STILL GOT QUESTIONS ABOUT ADDICTION COUNSELLING?

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the free addiction assessment for?

If you are contacting us on behalf of someone else, we understand that this is a normal situation. First, we will talk things over with you and then arrange another call with your loved one. It’s important to keep in mind that addiction counselling is a highly personal and confidential process, so the individual seeking help will need to be actively involved and must give their consent for any information to be shared.

What can I expect during the consultation?

During the consultation, you can expect a 30-minute one-on-one phone call where we will discuss your current situation and concerns related to your addiction. We will assess any symptoms, triggers, or underlying mental health conditions that may be contributing to your drinking. We will also explore alternative treatment options that may be a better fit for you based on your unique needs and preferences. Our goal is to provide you with the information and support you need to make an informed decision about your treatment path.

Is the conversation confidential?

Yes, absolutely. Your privacy is of utmost importance to us, and everything you discuss with us during the consultation is strictly confidential. We will not share your information with anyone else unless we have serious concerns about your own or someone else’s safety. We also do record calls for training and quality purposes. Find out more about how we protect your privacy.

How long will the consultation last?

The consultation will last approximately 30 minutes. This gives us enough time to discuss your situation and explore possible treatment options. However, if you feel like you need more time, in most cases we can continue the call or arrange a follow-up call to continue the conversation. Our goal is to ensure that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your treatment.

When are you available?

Appointments are available from Monday to Friday between 7 AM to 8 PM and on Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 AM. You can easily check the availability of appointments in our diary and choose a date and time that suits you best. However, it is important to note that availability may vary based on the counsellor’s schedule and demand for appointments. If you need to reach out to us outside of these hours, you can leave a message, and we will get back to you the next time we are available.

However, in case of urgent situations, such as a suspected overdose, please call 999 immediately. If you require someone to talk to outside of our hours, please contact the Samaritans.

Are you going to sell me something?

We are not here to sell you anything. Our assessment phone call is a no-obligation conversation where we can discuss your current situation and explore a range of treatment options, both paid and free. Our goal is to find the best path for you based on your unique needs and circumstances, and we understand that traditional options like AA, NHS, GP, and rehab may not work for everyone. We want to help you exercise your right to choose your own treatment methods, and we will provide you with unbiased guidance and support.

Who will I be talking to?

During your consultation, you’ll be talking to me, the lead counsellor. My personal experience with addiction led me to this work, and I am passionate about helping others who are struggling with alcohol or drug addiction. I understand what it’s like to feel lost and helpless in the face of addiction, but I also know that there is hope and that recovery is possible. Together, we’ll explore your options and find the best path for you to take control of your drinking and live a healthier, happier life. So book a call with me and let’s start your journey towards recovery.

Can I moderate my drinking or do I have to stop?

You have the option to either moderate your drinking or stop altogether. This is not an abstinence-only program and it is up to you to decide what approach is best for you. The goal of the program is to help you make an informed decision about your drinking and to provide you with the tools and support you need to achieve your goals. As you go through the programme you will work to understand the role that alcohol plays in your life and help you develop strategies to reduce your consumption or quit altogether if that is your goal.

Does the program address drugs as well as alcohol?

Yes, this program can address addiction to drugs as well as alcohol because most of the tools are universal. Although it focuses through the lens of drink it is designed to help individuals struggling with all types of addictions, including those related to cocaine, sex, weed, ketamine, and more. Whether you are struggling with addiction to a specific substance or a behavioural addiction, this program can provide value and support as you work towards recovery. If you have a specific addiction that you would like to address in counselling, it is important to discuss this with your counsellor so that they can tailor the treatment plan to your needs.

What are the costs and payment options available?

We offer an initial no-obligation call that is completely free of charge. During this call, we will discuss our programs that range from £49 to £2000, depending on your unique needs. We do not accept insurance, but we do offer various financing options and support to ensure that you have access to the help you need. We also have a scholarship program to help those who need it most. Our goal is to make our services as accessible as possible to those seeking help with their addiction.

How soon can I start treatment after the consultation?

If we determine that you are a good fit for our program, you can start right away. There is no waiting list, but please keep in mind that we only take on a maximum of 30 clients at a time to ensure personalized attention and quality care. So book an assessment with us to get started as soon as possible while there are still limited spaces available.

How can I determine if addiction counselling is necessary for me?

If you are on this page, it is a good indication that you are considering getting help. We also offer an online assessment tool with 40 simple yes/no questions created by an expert therapist. The assessment will provide personalized insights into why you may be struggling to control your drinking, and instant results will be delivered via a confidential 38-page PDF assessment.

What to look for in a counsellor?

When looking for a counsellor, it’s important to find someone who can guide you through unfamiliar waters. A good counsellor has experience leading people on similar journeys and can help you navigate safely. Therapy is not about someone else changing things in your head; it’s about taking charge and bringing up the problems you want to discuss. A counsellor can help you see blind spots and integrate new insights into your life, but ultimately the power and responsibility lie with you.

How long does treatment typically last?

We offer an 8-week program, but we understand that everyone’s journey is different. Treatment length varies based on individual needs, and some of our clients choose to continue with us for an extended period. We will work with you to create a personalized treatment plan that suits your unique situation and goals.

What are the qualifications and experience of your counsellors?

Our lead counsellor has a wealth of experience and knowledge in addiction counselling. After the loss of their mother to alcoholism, they became determined to help others break free from the chains of addiction. They have undergone over 6 years of personal therapy, invested in a degree in counselling, and delivered over 3,000 hours of therapy to clients. Additionally, they have worked undercover in top rehabs in the UK and started a podcast interviewing leading researchers and experts in addiction. Their tried and tested methods have been included in our new programme, so you can receive the latest techniques and strategies that have been proven to be successful.

Is it going to work?

Yes, we have a proven track record with many positive reviews from past clients. However, the success of the program depends on your willingness to put in the effort and make the necessary changes. To ensure your satisfaction and success, we offer two guarantees. So take the first step and book an assessment to start your journey towards a happier, healthier life.

"It has been the best thing I could have ever done"

I joint Lisa inside addiction due to binge drinking and not knowing when to stop drinking once I start. I was in a low place when Luke contacted me and I signed up for the alcohol control program and 1 to 1 sessions with Luke. It has been the best thing I could have ever done, I’m now 6 weeks sober and have a complete different outlook on life. Luke has been absolutely amazing! He has gave me many techniques, one of which has taught me how to control intrusive thoughts which I struggled with. Since talking to Luke everyone has seen such a positive effect on me. I cannot recommend him enough, we’ve spoke about a lot of deep stuff but also laughed at past experiences. The program has shown me my triggers and how to deal with them. Highly recommended!

"Luke gave me the support I needed"

Luke gave me the support I needed to make some big changes in my life. The program he provided is comprehensive, and it all links together meaningfully to provide a really effective course. If you are ready and willing to make change for the better, this course provides a very strong base of support, focus and motivation. Strongly recommended.

- PAUL

"I have not had a drink in 4 months"

Luke has been amazing. He was exactly what I was looking for in a therapist, someone that I could talk openly with and on the same level. Sometimes we would work through exercises and other times we would just chat about what was going on. I have not had a drink in 4 months and with a bit of hard work from myself and awesome support from Luke here's to the next 4 and many more after :-)

WARNING - 95% Of People Who Don't Take Action Fall Back Into The Despair Of Addiction

  • Don’t wait until it’s too late – take control of your drinking now
  • Don’t let addiction take everything you value – learn how to overcome it
  • Don’t let another holiday, celebration, or difficult event be an excuse to put your recovery on hold

Some people choose to remain stuck, while others choose to build a strong foundation to weather the storms of life and make positive changes. If you’ve made it this far, you already have the power to make a change.

I’ve spoken with countless clients who have shared similar stories of how they let their drinking spiral out of control before finally seeking help. It’s a worrying pattern that I see all too often – people wait until their situations are dire before taking action to address their drinking.

And that’s why I want to emphasize the critical juncture you’re at right now. If you continue down the self-destructive path you’ve been on, it will only lead to one outcome: death.

And along the way, you’ll lose everything that matters to you – the trust of loved ones, your job or business, your relationships, and potentially even your life.

I know this from firsthand experience, as I watched my mother lose everything before she lost her life to addiction. And I’ve seen countless other clients suffer the tragic fates, gradually losing everything they value as their drinking consumes them.

But it doesn’t have to be this way.

By learning new tools and techniques in this programme, becoming more self-aware, and making a conscious effort to change, you can turn your life around.

You can regain control over your drinking, understand the root causes if it, rebuild trust with loved ones, and be a positive role model for your children. You will be able to handle the stress and challenges of work and life and have the confidence and inner peace that comes with emotional mastery.

There is no perfect time to quit drinking. It’s a continuous process that doesn’t have a specific starting point, but it does have an endpoint. And no matter what may come up – whether it’s a celebration, a holiday, a difficult event, or a major change – there will always be something on the horizon that could potentially serve as an excuse to put your recovery on hold.

So, I urge you to really consider your choices. Do you want to continue down the same destructive path, trying different tactics but never truly breaking free from drinking?

Or are you ready to take control of your life and make an informed decision about your own future?

Now it’s time for you to decide, the choice is yours.

"Even in my first few sessions he helped me change my way of thinking"

Luke is really easy to talk to, I am currently having counselling with him and even in my first few sessions he helped me change my way of thinking and make some really positive changes in my life to ultimately make me happy.

- LEAH

"He is empathetic, knowledgeable and really makes the sessions fit you"

I was hesitant about therapy as a concept and questioned if it would benefit me at the start. Firstly, Luke is a great counsellor. He is empathetic, knowledgeable and really makes the sessions fit you. Counselling is not a magic wand where you’re suddenly ‘cured’, but much of a journey and Luke really supports you along the way. I would absolutely recommend Luke wholeheartedly.

- JAMES

"He listens intently and without prejudice"

If i could leave a 100 star review for Luke I would, he has been amazing from day 1. He listens intently and without prejudice, the skills he has taught me over the time I have worked with him will be with me for a lifetime and I will be forever thankful that I found him when I needed it the most. Thank you so much for everything.
