Hey, I’m Luke Worsfold, the founder of Lisa Inside Addiction.
As a counsellor with 6 years of sobriety, my goal is to help you take control of your drinking.
How It Started
How It Is Going
I grew up with a mother who struggled with alcohol and passed away when I was just 10 years old. Unfortunately, I followed in her footsteps, drinking and taking drugs until I lost my partner, family connections and business.
I relentlessly searched for answers through google, books, AA Meetings and rehab but nothing seemed to be working… then I discovered…. ADDICTION THERAPY.
Thanks to the power of therapy, I was able to understand why I drank, earn back my loved one’s trust and break free my self-destructive cycle of drinking and using drugs.
Now I’ve made it my mission to help others take control of their drinking/drug use and reduce their consumption.
I can confidently tell you, you are in the right place! So book a call and let’s walk this journey together.

"Even in my first few sessions he helped me change my way of thinking"
Luke is really easy to talk to, I am currently having counselling with him and even in my first few sessions he helped me change my way of thinking and make some really positive changes in my life to ultimately make me happy.

"He is empathetic, knowledgeable and really makes the sessions fit you"
I was hesitant about therapy as a concept and questioned if it would benefit me at the start. Firstly, Luke is a great counsellor. He is empathetic, knowledgeable and really makes the sessions fit you. Counselling is not a magic wand where you’re suddenly ‘cured’, but much of a journey and Luke really supports you along the way. I would absolutely recommend Luke wholeheartedly.

"He listens intently and without prejudice"
If i could leave a 100 star review for Luke I would, he has been amazing from day 1. He listens intently and without prejudice, the skills he has taught me over the time I have worked with him will be with me for a lifetime and I will be forever thankful that I found him when I needed it the most. Thank you so much for everything.

"He saved my relationship with my partner and my family"
I don’t know where to start…. Luke is amazing he saved my life he picked me up when I was rock bottom and has got me to where I am today completing the program and unchaining myself from my addiction. The tools I have learnt over the past 12 weeks have made me the person I am now, these tools I have learnt will stick with me through life and help me in day to day life. Luke made me realise that life is amazing, he saved my relationship with my partner and my family, he is so supportive and in every single attribute, his attention to detail in every session is amazing. Luke once again Thank you!

"Working with Luke has been genuinely life-changing for me"
Working with Luke has been genuinely life-changing for me. He has provided patient, actionable and supportive counsel during the darkest period of my entire life and within months has enabled me to take real action to make positive, habitual changes. Previous experiences with counselling had been negative, but working with Luke has been fundamentally different and more helpful to me. I believe that Luke's experiences, alongside his qualifications, make him a truly exceptional counsellor and I would recommend his support to anybody who felt they needed it.

"As scared as I was to start the program, I instantly felt a connection as Luke is such a genuine bloke."
I cannot thank Luke enough for the help and guidance he has given me. As scared as I was to start the program, I instantly felt a connection as Luke is such a genuine bloke. I felt it very easy to be open and honest from the get go. Not once did I feel like I was being judged, which I think was most of my fears in the beginning. Most therapists I searched appear to have text book experiences, but Luke's been there and done it all which meant we could laugh about some of the stories we both had. Thoroughly recommend Luke, top bloke and very good at his job. Thank you so much!

You have the option to either moderate your drinking or stop altogether. This is not an abstinence-only program and it is up to you to decide what approach is best for you. As you go through the programme you will work to understand the role that alcohol plays in your life and help you develop strategies to reduce your consumption or quit altogether if that is your goal.

Yes, addiction counselling will help you address the underlying causes of your drinking. Understanding the underlying causes of your addiction is an important step in the recovery process and can help you develop strategies to prevent relapse and achieve lasting recovery. Our addiction counselling program includes a module specifically focused on exploring the “why” behind your addiction. This module is designed to help you understand the underlying causes of your addiction and identify any underlying issues, such as stress, anxiety, or depression, that may be contributing to your addiction. In addition to the module, you can also discuss the underlying causes of your addiction in individual counselling sessions with your counsellor. They can provide a safe and supportive space for you to explore these issues in greater depth and develop strategies to address them.

The best form of treatment for addiction depends on your individual needs and circumstances. Addiction counselling is a great option because it focuses on helping you integrate the changes into your life so you can cope without turning to drinking in the real world. Rather than coming out of rehab sober and going back to the challenges of your life and relapsing.
Four common symptoms of addiction include: Cravings for the addictive substance or behaviour Loss of control over the use Continued use despite negative consequences Withdrawal symptoms when not using the addictive substance or engaging in the addictive behaviour.
Some common signs of addiction include neglecting responsibilities, changes in social and recreational activities, increased tolerance, withdrawal symptoms, and unsuccessful attempts to quit or cut back on the addictive behaviour.
Permanently stopping your addiction often requires a combination of professional help, self-awareness, and support from others. Addiction counselling can provide the tools and strategies you need to overcome addiction and maintain long-term recovery.
If you are contacting us on behalf of someone else, it is important to keep in mind that addiction counselling is a highly personal and confidential process. The individual seeking help will need to be actively involved in the counselling process and must give their consent for any information to be shared. If you would like to purchase counselling as a gift for a friend or family member, you can certainly do so. However, it is important to keep in mind that the individual will still need to complete an consultation call and speak with a counsellor in order to participate in the sessions. It is ultimately up to the individual to decide if they want to seek help and participate in the sessions. It is important to approach the topic with sensitivity and respect for their autonomy and to not pressure them into seeking help if they are not ready. It is also important to respect their privacy and confidentiality.
